SENIOR DISCOUNT
What is Senior Discount SDI?
The "SDI" or "Senior Discount/PWD Discount" feature in the POS (Point of Sale) system outlines the process for applying discounts specifically for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWD). This feature ensures that the applicable discounts are correctly applied according to the regulatory guidelines. The system guides the cashier through the necessary steps to verify eligibility and apply the appropriate discount to the transaction.

Step 1 : Log in to your POS Cashiering Interface Input your User name and Password Then Click Log in

Step 2: Type the Item name or Scan the Barcode of the item.

Step 3: Optional if Applicable
If the Senior / PWD purchase a non maintenance medicine then we can only apply senior discount/ PWD Discount to items that are prescribed and maintenance.
Select the item that is non maintenance or non prescribe, tap Toggle Discount (CRTL + J) short key in the keyboard

Step 4: Optional if Applicable
You may record the name of the Senior / PWD by clicking Tag (CRTL + T) short key in the keyboard
And input the Name under customer Name and ID No. Under Phone Number

Step 5: Implement the Senior / PWD Discount
Select SDI (Senior Discount)
Input the 20% Discount

Step 6: Tender for payment until print out of receipt

Formula For Senior Discount
= Less Vat (If Item is vatable) = Item Price / 9.333 = Less 20%
For example:
AMLIFE Losartan (Item Eligible for Senior Discount) Total: ₱ 100.00 Paracetamol Biogesic (Item that is not Part of Senior Discount) : ₱ 35.00
We will Only discount the Item that is for Senior
AMLIFE Losartan Total: ₱ 100.00
Step 1: Less Vat (Since this item is vatable)
Please Note: If the Item is NONVAT by Set Up System will automatically Skip this part
₱ 100.00 / 9.333 = ₱ 10.71 (12% Vat Value)
Step 2: From the Total Amount for Item for Senior less the VAT Value
₱ 100.00 - ₱ 10.71 (12% Vat Value) = ₱ 89.29 (Less Vat Price)
Step 3: From the Less Vat Price of the Item we will discount the 20%
₱ 89.29 (Less Vat Price) x 0.20 = ₱ 17.86 (20% Discount Value)

₱ 100.00 (Total Amount) - ₱ 10.71 (12% Vat Value) + ₱ 17.86 (20% Discount Value) = ₱ 71.43
Final Computation
₱ 71.43 (Losartan) + ₱ 35.00 (Biogesic) = ₱ 106.43
