What is Senior Discount in Grocery Store ?
The senior citizen discount in grocery stores is distinctly different from that in a pharmacy setup in the Philippines. Specifically, senior citizens are entitled to a 5% discount on selected grocery items. This discount is applicable only to certain items that are designated by regulations, typically including basic necessities and prime commodities.
In contrast, the discount provided in pharmacies for senior citizens is generally higher and applies to medicines and essential medical supplies. However, in grocery stores, the 5% discount is limited to specific items, and not all products are eligible. This ensures that senior citizens receive financial relief on essential goods while maintaining a clear distinction between grocery and pharmaceutical purchases.

Step 1 : Log in to your POS Cashiering Interface Input your User name and Password Then Click Log in

Step 2: Type the Item name or Scan the Barcode of the item

Step 3: Type SD under DESC
Then input 5% Discount
Under Senior , Change N to Y stands for Yes

Step 4: Optional if Applicable
You may record the name of the Senior / PWD by clicking Tag (CRTL + T) short key in the keyboard
And input the Name under customer Name and ID No. Under Phone Number

Step 5: Tender until Receipt Print Out
